How to File a Complaint

If you have a complaint against an apartment complex that is a member of the Apartment Association of Southeast Texas, you must submit it in writing to the Association office. Once the complaint is received, the manager's response is requested and a committee will hear the case and come to a recommendation. You may file the complaint by mail. The process takes about a month and there is no way to expedite the process. The Grievance Committee Procedure Form below outlines the agreement as well as the process. This signed form must accompany the complaint form.

If the complex you are filing against is not a member of the Apartment Association of Southeast Texas you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
